When you start most products for the first time, you activate them. In the activation process, Autodesk verifies entitlement information, such as your serial number. Some products prompt you to activate. Other products, such as Maya LT , can activate silently or present a prompt.

If you see the activation prompt and can’t connect to the Internet, activate manually. If you see the activation screen when you start your product, and have an Internet connection, follow these steps.

If you can’t connect to the Internet at startup, activate the product manually. The product activates and is registered. Note: If you’re installing Maya LT , see your product documentation for installation details. Activate and Register Online If you see the activation screen when you start your product, and have an Internet connection, follow these steps. Start the product and agree to the privacy statement. Click Activate. If you’re installing a free trial, enter your serial number and product key when prompted.

When prompted, log in and register the product. Activate and Register Manually Offline If you can’t connect to the Internet at startup, activate the product manually. Start the product and click Activate if prompted. Enter your serial number and product key if prompted. Write down the activation information that appears on the screen, including the URL. You must find a device with an Internet connection and navigate to the URL, which allows you to send a request form to Autodesk.
