Tracking of audio device sample clocks also now works better when the device is providing erroneous information. CPU usage has been reduced in many common audio flows, clock synchronization across devices has been improved, and persistent device tracking has been improved. Several visual improvemnts have been made for better legibility throughout the app. This includes making active Recorder blocks easier to read, and greatly improving the coloring of selected wires when using manual connections in Light mode.

An issue where the Recording Inspector could fail to show the genre selector has been corrected. The edit button for renaming blocks now properly moves its position related to the title. A graphical glitch which could occur when dragging plugin windows has been fixed. Further improvements are planned for the future. Assorted improvements have been made to make timers function more reliably.

Multiple fixes and improvements have been made for block popovers, to ensure they behave optimally. Once a session is closed, re-attaching any detached popovers will make the session window reappear.

A new hidden preference has been added, enabling Audio Hijack’s Dock icon to be hidden. Please note that this may behave in sub-optimal ways. This option may be removed in the future. Fariborz Apr 9 When it comes to products of rogueamoeba, I never think twice before upgrading. This company has always developed handy applications that I use in my daily work and am extremely pleased with their performance. Last but not least, the dreaded icon of its precious version has been modified into an elegant icon that makes it more feasible.

When Nicecast ended, Audio Hijack was recommended and so I bought it. I just assumed it would work like Nicecast but it doesn’t and you’ll need a separate streaming app to share your broadcasts. I’m frankly disappointed and feel a bit misled.

I’m now using Audiomovers because it’s simple like Nicecast was and works right out of the box. An audio capture app that doesn’t capture audio. For whatever reason it just doesn’t work on my mac. Well, it worked once. Now it won’t record anything after setting up a new session and pressing the record button. I updated it, rebooted, followed their quite simple tutorial.

Spike Jones Dec 23 Audio Hikack is a very useful tool to record audio from almost any source. The interface is strange and you need a while to learn to use it. The big minus point is the price. This is really far too high for what it does.

Therefore I can’t really recommend this. Unfortunately there are no good alternatives. It is so annoying, I had to delete it. I still use the older version in High Sierra.

It is so much more intuitive. I am so sorry, I just don’t need a new learning curve to add to my stress level.
